Prayer Flag

I imagined irridescent tiles of mother-of-pearl and abalone shell as prayer flags, inscriptions, tablets - the ways we manifest hopes and wishes. The surfaces were created over time by shell fish - tiny smooth caves decorated in shimmering beauty. In Prayer Flag they are carved and covered with bronze-tone lacquer to signify the dreams that come to us as we live our life.
