Arbor Desk

The boughs, elbows and branches of trees were a fitting inspiration for this desk for a writer and scholar. Time and thought and many sketches and sculptures led to this balanced form with its powerful meandering limbs in cast bronze, supporting the broad 'canopy' top covered in natural parchment. Wrapped in panels, the varietry between the skins can be appreciated while the curvaceous form gives a beautiful sensuous line seen from all sides. A slim draw holds papers and pens.
